Senior Sydnie Cobb and Professor Butler Present in Macon
On Nov. 16, senior Sydnie Cobb and Prof. Jason Butler delivered a presentation at the Washington Memorial Library in Macon on their World War II research and experiences in Washington, D.C., and Normandy, France, as part of the Normandy: Sacrifice for Freedom Albert H. Small Student & Teacher Institute, in which they participated from January to June of this year. Part of their research focused on Sgt. Willie L. Collins, a soldier who died in the D-Day Invasion of France on June 6, 1944. Collins was from Macon, the site of Cobb's and Butler's presentation.
